Terrific opportunities in modern, newly constructed multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center at WESTMED Medical Group’s Rye Facility. Four operating rooms and an estimated 6000 cases per year.
Immediate Openings for:
Clinical Nurse Manager/Associate Director in Rye, NY:
- Responsible for oversight of all perioperative patient care activities
- Oversee day-to-day clinical operations of an ASC with 4 operating rooms and estimated 6000 cases per year
- Oversee CQI programs
- Oversee all clinical staff including PACU nurses, OR nurses, scrub techs, materials management, and other staff
Requirements: BS in Nursing and current NYS license required, BCLS, ACLS, and/or PALS Certification required. Must have prior OR management experience. Prior experience with JCAHO or AAAHC preferred. Ability to scrub and circulate in OR. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities. Comfortable using technology and proficient with computer applications.
Materials Manager (Hospital or ASC) in Rye, NY:
- Manage day-to-day operations of materials management.
- Work collaboratively with medical staff, corporate support departments, and vendors to maintain programs and processes designed to ensure efficient, just-in-time ordering; enhance revenue; achieve optimal utilization and reduce costs.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels and special physician requests.
Requirements: Prior Materials Management experience in hospital or ASC setting. Prior clinical experience preferred. Excellent communication skills with physicians, staff and leadership team. Bachelor's preferred. Experience using automated purchasing system(s).
PACU Registered Nurse Professional in Rye, NY:
- Provide total nursing care to patients both pre and post operative.
- Responsible for admission and discharge assessment.
- Performs and documents patient assessment and interventions.
- Adhere to all Infection Control policies and OSHA standards.
- Perform patient education.
- Responsible for care and monitoring of equipment.
Requirements: Current NYS license. Current BCLS and ACLS required. Minimum 3 years PACU or critical care experience (ICU or CCU). BS Degree preferred. Excellent verbal, communication and interpersonal skills. Team player with a focus on customer service.
Operating Room Registered Nurse First Assist/ or Surgical PA in Rye, NY:
- Responsible for first assisting surgeons during a variety of surgical sub specialty cases.
- Must be able to scrub and circulate.
- Participate in pre-operative and immediate post-operative patient care.
- Intraoperative first-assisting includes, but not limited to using instruments/medical devices, providing exposure, handling and/or cutting tissue, providing homeostasis, and suturing.
- The Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) is perioperative registered nurse who functions in an expanded role.
Requirements: Prior experience in either Hospital or ASC setting required. Proficiency in at least three sub specialties. RN Degree plus additional training (RNFA). Current NYS license. Current BCLS and ACLS certifications. If PA, have same level of experience with current license and certification.
Operating Room Registered Nurse Professional in Rye, NY:
- Provide total nursing care to patients.
- Coordinate perioperative care through assessment documentation and communication to all members of the health care team.
- Demonstrate proficiency as a circulating and scrub nurse for all procedures.
- Ability to appropriately plan and adjust the care of the patient, related to procedure needs and surgeon preference.
- Maintain and organize OR environment in accordance with all Infection Control policies to ensure timely and appropriate nursing care.

Operating Room/Surgical Technician in Rye, NY:
- Assist and support surgeons and nursing staff in the operating room in accordance to policies and procedures to ensure high quality patient care.
- Assist with the preparation, transportation and monitoring of patients.
- Demonstrates and adheres to principles of aseptic technique as supporting member of the surgical staff to ensure sterile field throughout the surgical procedure.
Requirements: Diploma from accredited surgical technology program. Certification as Surgical Technologist required. Minimum 3 years OR experience, multi-specialty. Excellent communication skills with positive proactive approach.
Sterile, Central Supply Technician in Rye, NY:
Services provided include, but not limited to:
- Decontamination, Preparation and Packaging, Sterilization, Storage and Distribution of surgical instruments.
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines.
- Assure instruments processed and distributed in an accurate and timely manner to enhance quality of patient care.
Requirements: Minimum 2 years Operating Room (OR) experience in hospital or ASC. Knowledge of sterile and aseptic techniques. Must be efficient and rigorous in their care of instruments and equipment.
Operating Room Scheduler in Rye, NY:
- Schedule surgical cases for a multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgical Center with 4 Operating Rooms.
- Adjust rooms based on equipment availability and staffing requirements to ensure operating room time is utilized to maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate procedures with other departments/providers:
- Obtain necessary authorizations and referrals
- Track charge entry for surgical procedures
- Set up pre-operative appointments and tests for patients
- Send pre-surgical correspondence and confirmations to patients
- Assist with other administrative staff with scheduling appointments, preparing charts, etc.
- Interface with physicians, management personnel, and other clinical personnel to ensure cohesive working relationship in providing quality patient care services.
- May make recommendations for revised policies and procedures to more effectively utilize available staff and to increase OR utilization.
Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent required, some college preferred. Minimum 2 years experience scheduling operating room cases in a multi-specialty ASC or hospital setting. Must possess knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-9 coding. Ability to type 40 words per minute. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. Must have high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

ADMINISTRATOR, AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTER
Western New York’s premier outpatient surgery center is seeking an Administrator. Our client facility is successful, growing and provides surgical care to Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Podiatry and Pain Management patients. Staff at the center enjoys state of the art technology and a great team environment and work/life balance.
The Administrator is accountable for the overall administration and organization of the facility by planning and directing all functions and activities associated with business, financial, and clinical activities, including but not limited to: accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, general accounting, regulatory compliance, purchasing and inventory, telecommunications, information systems, medical records, contract negotiations and marketing.
Qualifications include:
Registered Nurse preferable with current NY state nursing license. Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum three years demonstrated experience in ambulatory surgery center management required, including experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Clinical Operations, AAAHC Accreditation and Quality Management. Strong computer skills are necessary. Must have the highest standards for customer service.
